Which Stairlift is for you?

Want to buy a stairlift? Then you need to make sure you choose the right one for you. Those of you with staircases that are straight and encounter no curves or bends will need to buy a straight stairlift. These are the most affordable type of stairlift because they do not have to be custom made. Our straight stairlifts cost from as little as £695.

Staircases that do encounter curves, turns or landings in the middle you will need to buy a curved stairlift. A custom made curved stairlift is more expensive and these start from £2300.

If your staircase is straight but separated into two sections by a landing in the middle you may want to opt for 2 straight stairlifts. This could turn out to be cheaper than a curved stairlift.

If you have a slight curve at the top of your stairs 1 Stop Mobility can built a bespoke transfer platform which will be less expensive than buying a curved stairlift.

If the stairlift is only needed due to sudden but temporary injury then you might want to rent a stairlift rather than buying one. If however the disability is long term we recommend that you buy a stairlift.

A great way of saving money when buying a stairlift is by choosing a reconditioned one. Our reconditioned stairlifts are rigorously tested and all worn parts are replaced. They also come with a 1 year extendable warranty.
